Nasiyah
#actuallyautistic blogger and lecturer

Welcome to my blog! I'm an autistic adult presently working as a policy professional and nonprofit leader. I'm also an aspiring rabbi. I've spent most of my life building a sustainable and fast-paced career, starting businesses and lecturing on public policy and entrepreneurship, only to be met with challenges I couldn't explain.

In late 2024, I began a journey toward a better understanding of neurodiversity and my own neurodivergence. That led to a wild ride and an alphabet soup of diagnoses. I'm now a podcaster, lecturer, and blogger on an adventure to discover myself and help others live confidently while I document my journey as a multiply-disabled professional and trauma survivor.

Now I'm taking all my experiences and creating a space to document my journey as a Jewish woman of color as I explore neurodiversity, Judaism, and healing from trauma. I can't wait to share what I learn with you!

Jewishly-inspired, Neuro-affirming, Culturally-relevant

Being Jewish, my life is deeply influenced by the principles of the Torah. I have dedicated my life to living out a Torah-based, observant lifestyle, and I am on a journey to discovering what that means to me specifically, which can be an especially unique and often challenging path because I'm also neurodivergent, disabled, and queer. Yet, the more I study the ancient wisdom of the Torah, the more I see the beauty of neurodiversity and ways to live a satisfying, adventurous life as an autistic individual. Being a person of color, I know that we are typically underrepresented, and our specific needs and expressions of neurodivergence are less discussed in mainstream media. I want that to change!

Living Confident is about more than a blog, it's a space for exploration and self-discovery as I explore intersectionality, health and wellness, neurodivergence in Torah, and so much more. Join me on my journey to living confident!
